About Us

Who We Are

For over 40 years, Pekalp of London has been designing and handcrafting upholstered furniture in East London, combining traditional furniture-making skills with the flexibility to create pieces for individual spaces.

From sofas and armchairs to dining chairs, sofa beds and bespoke designs, our furniture is made for both residential and commercial interiors, including homes, hotels, restaurants, bars and show homes.

Made in London. Made to last.

Quality has always been at the heart of what we do. Our furniture is handmade using solid European beechwood frames, renewably sourced and carefully constructed for strength, comfort and longevity.

Rather than relying on mass-produced designs and standard sizes, we offer a made-to-measure and fully bespoke service, allowing dimensions, details and finishes to be adapted to suit your requirements.

Your furniture, your choice.

With an extremely extensive range of fabrics and leathers, there is something to complement virtually any interior. We can provide free fabric samples to help you choose, and we also offer a customer’s own material service if you already have the perfect fabric in mind.

Whether you are adapting one of our existing designs, changing the dimensions to fit a particular space, or looking for something completely bespoke, our team can work with you to create furniture that is genuinely suited to you.

Decades of experience.

Our furniture is backed by more than 40 years of design and manufacturing experience, and we have been members of Commercial Interiors UK (CIUK), formerly the British Contract Furnishing Association (BCFA), for over 27 years.

We understand that good furniture needs to do more than simply look the part. It needs to be comfortable, practical and built for everyday use. That same approach applies to our sofa beds: each design is considered as both a sofa and a bed, without treating either function as an afterthought.

Handmade in East London. Made to measure. Made for you.
